Chester Ross Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Chester Ross,90, of Huntington passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Grayson Assisted Living Home. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Rollins Funeral Home with Minister Sam Meek and Minister Mike Fyffe officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Kenova. Chester was born February 11, 1924 in Wayne, WV. a son of the late Daniel and Corinda Clark Ross. He was a World War II Army veteran, retired from the VA Medical Center of Huntington and was a member of the Church of Christ in Cannonsburg, Ky. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife, the mother of his children, Pauline Pierce Ross, his second wife Mildred Ross, his beloved daughter Patsy Campbell and three brothers Charlie, Carlie and Frank. Left to cherish his memory are two daughters and sons-in-law Norma (James) Spence of Kenova and Dottie (Raymond) Ferguson of Huntington; son-in-law Mike Campbell; two granddaughters Lisa (Matt) Knotts and Michelle Eskew; three brothers Robert, Arvel and Jack; one sister Tilda Marcum; two half-sisters Mary Terry and Martha Oakley and one half-brother Jessie. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the owners and staff of Grayson Assisted Living for the love and care they provided for their dad and also to Hospice of Huntington.
