Johnnie Ray Napier Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

JOHNNIE R. NAPIER, 69, of Kenova, left this life and went into the presence of the Lord on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Johnnie was born November 23, 1944 in Ragland, W.Va., the son of the late William "K" and Thelma Horn Napier. He leaves a loving wife, Rosalee Maynard Napier; two daughters, Christie Ann Napier Luther and her husband, James of Kenova and Michelle Renee Napier who is presently serving in the U.S. Army; two stepchildren, Angela K. and Jimmy Courtney of Indianapolis, Ind. and Roger Dale and Jeanette Norman of Huntington; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Napier of Echo, W.Va. and Billie Jean Tridico of Shelby, Ohio; three brothers, George L. Napier of Plymouth, Ohio, James R. Napier of Shelby, Ohio, and Robert L. Napier of Dillsboro, Ind. and a several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William L. and Thomas H. Napier. Johnnie was a member of the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1965. He was a graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy and served as a WV Trooper from 1966 to 1974. Johnnie was also a graduate of the Virginia School of Polygraph. He retired from MetLife Insurance Company where he held the position as Home Office Inspector, Investigations Unit. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova. Funeral services will begin following the visitation at 2 p.m. with Pastor Greg Page, Chaplain Ron Page and Pastor Randall Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery.
