Michael Jeffrey Edwards Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

MICHAEL JEFFREY EDWARDS, 34, of Kenova, passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014. He was born March 21, 1980 a son of Billy Lee Edwards of Ceredo, and the late Gloria Jean Napier Edwards. He was a graduate of C-K High School and Marshall University. Jeff was employed by DIRECTV as a change agent. Jeff loved his family. He liked spending time with his wife and kids and being involved in the activities they enjoyed. He was proud of his daughters, Ella and Emma and would take every opportunity to tell you all about them. He liked music and spent time each day playing his guitar. Jeff had a good heart and would offer to lend a hand whenever and wherever he could. He had a smile that could light up a room and was loved by many. He liked sports and played football for both C-K High School and Marshall University. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bill Edwards; his maternal grandmother, Dicie Napier; and his father-in-law, Dannie Booth. Jeff is survived by his beloved wife, Danielle Leigh Booth Edwards; the light of his life, his two daughters, Ella Grace and Emma Kate Edwards; a brother and sister-in-law, William Brett and Amber Edwards and their children, Greyson and Georgie all of Raleigh, N.C.; his grandmother, Thelma Pratt Edwards of Ceredo; his grandfather, Andy Napier of Wayne and his grandmother-in-law, Hazel Booth of Winfield, W.Va.; his sister-in-law, Brittany Booth and her children Brae and Taliyah; his mother-in-law Terry Dale Booth; his grandparent-in-laws, Harold "Had" and Frances Dale, all of Kenova; a special friend and advisor, Rev. Lindsay Thorp and a host of other family and friends. Jeff will be fondly remembered and greatly missed. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Kenova. Funeral services will begin at 5 p.m. with Rev. Jim Richards officiating and Rev. Lindsay Thorp assisting. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Cemetery, Ceredo. Flowers will be accepted and appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Ministries at Kenova United Methodist Church, of which he was a member, located at 503 15th St. Kenova, WV 25530.
