Taylor Ross Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Taylor Ross ,90, is now at peace with his loving wife of 62 years, having left his earthly home Sunday, October 7, 2012 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Rollins Funeral Home with Rev. Hugh Summers officiating. Interment will follow in Dock’s Creek Cemetery, Kenova, WV. Taylor was born April 19, 1922 in East Lynn, WV. son of the late W.J. “Bill” and Mary Elizabeth Frashure Ross. He was a member of the 20th Street Baptist Church of Kenova and was a member of the Isaac Walton League and Woodmen of the World. He also served on the Virginia Point Park Board and was a former Kenova Police Officer. Taylor retired from Transfer Terminal in Kenova where he was a coal barge loader. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Holland Ross, three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law Joyce (Walter) Ekers, Neacie (Harry) Marks, Debbie (Nelson) Roller and Connie (Tony) Poston; three grandsons Christopher (Kaitlin) Poston, Brandon Poston and T.J. Roller; one granddaughter Krystal (Jeremy) Barker; one great-granddaughter Kyleah Poston and a future great-grandson Carson Lee Poston. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova.
